Well, well, where to begin? [Nov/22/2010 at 10 pm]
Well, I intended to be back to the internet a lot sooner than I've gotten to it.

Hello, hello. I've missed a great many people (assuming I haven't been in phone contact with you since October 15th, you know who you are). I've been so very terribly, joyfully busy with the latest addition to the family, and in case you missed it before, here she was shortly after that. )

Cally is a real hoot. She's such a great mix between her father and myself. She's been a dainty little princess since the moment she was born and looked up into her daddy's face, and she reminds me so, so, so much of him. The day after she was born, we took her to Bolinas to get to know her and just to lay in bed with her and be all emotional and whatnot. Carrie joined us after the first week, and eventually, albeit, later than we had planned, we returned to San Francisco last week to prepare for Carrie's first birthday and to get me back on the school ball.

And, it's scary, to know that Carrie is a year old. She had a nice princess party that a couple of you were nice enough to come to at the last second. And for those of you who didn't, I do have a few pictures to share. She got a bunch of stuff that she truly loves, each toy and each outfit. We dressed her up for professional pictures but it was too warm for her to wear her dress to the party so she had a onsesie that said 'Baby's 1st Birthday'. Con and I couldn't stop giving her hugs and kisses, it's amazing. A year ago I wasn't sure I could be a mother. She's my world now, her Cally and Con.

Some pictures. )

Yeah, time is flying. My girls are here and sprouting up in front of my eyes. I'm back in school, and doing fine, almost caught up from may maternity break and after Christmas I should be squared away for the second semester. Con has been busily finishing his novel and he's been working as an editor to keep the money coming in, and I think he really likes that work. Busy work that helps him brainstorm and makes him feel like he's actively supporting his family.

As far as everything else, we're just getting ready for the holidays. No plans for Thanksgiving so far, I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try to cook a turkey. Not yet anyways. We may have to find a buffet. This past Halloween was Carrie's first, and she dressed up as a little angel. I'll wrap this all up with a pic of that and a promise to be back to this before a month is up. Thanks so much for all the love and support so far. You've been missed and if we haven't met yet, we should!
